Job summary

Iconic Care is seeking a licensed physiatrist to round at two skilled nursing facilities in Chico, CA and Redding, with a schedule of Mon–Fri and alternating days. You will treat 27+ patients daily, focusing on pain reduction and functional recovery through specialized physiatry care.

The role offers a production-based compensation structure with a strong bonus potential up to $215,000 and comprehensive benefits, including health and 401(k). Posts require DEA licensure and NP/PA credentials.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted PA or NP license required.
• DEA license required or obtainable.
• Nursing home or physiatry experience is a plus.
• Comfort performing peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips).
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with EHR charting.

Job description

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a physiatrist, you will round at 2 Skilled Nursing Facilities: 1 facility located in Chico, CA on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 1 facility located in Redding on Tuesdays and Thursdays (schedule subject to change). Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 27+ patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.

Key responsibilities

• Performing focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
• Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
• Serving as the sole physiatrist on-site, operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
• Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.

This role is best suited for a self-motivated and confident clinician who thrives in independent practice environments and is passionate about improving rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PA or NP license.
• DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure.
• Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus, but not required.
• Comfort and interest in performing peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips).
• A genuine passion for providing professional, personalized care in an autonomous environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with EHR charting

Location Note

This role commutes to Redding & Chico, CA. The provider will not be rounding in Red Bluff at this time. Only one location will be seen each day, but being located centrally to make both commutes comfortable on alternating days is required.
