Job summary

Iconic Care is seeking a dedicated physiatrist to deliver advanced rehabilitation medicine across multiple skilled nursing facilities in the Federal Way area. You will manage 27–30 patients daily, with autonomy to shape care plans in collaboration with facility teams.

The role offers a 5-day workweek with no nights or on-call shifts, competitive production-based pay starting at $155,000+ per year, and a robust benefits package including malpractice coverage and renewal allowances.

Qualifications

Must hold a current, unrestricted PA or NP license.
DEA license or willingness to obtain DEA licensure is required.
Familiarity with EHR charting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Round at 1–3 facilities, 1–3 days per week per location.
Develop individualized treatment plans with primary care teams to optimize therapy participation.
Provide injections, dry needling, and medication management as needed.
Serve as the sole on-site physiatrist with autonomy, collaborating with a clinical team when needed.
Coordinate care and refer to other specialties as appropriate.

Job description

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a physiatrist, you will round at 1–3 Skilled Nursing Facilities or similar rehabilitation centers, 1–3 days per week at each location. Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 27-30 patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.

Key responsibilities include:

Performing focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
Serving as the sole physiatrist on-site, operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
Coordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.

This role is best suited for a self-motivated and confident clinician who thrives in independent practice environments and is passionate about improving rehabilitation outcomes.

Qualifications:

Current, unrestricted PA or NP license.
DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure.
Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus, but not required.
Comfort and interest in performing peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips).
A genuine passion for providing professional, personalized care in an autonomous environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with EHR charting
