Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is assisting a leading regional health system in central Vermont to recruit a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physiatrist (PM&R) for Rutland. The role blends outpatient musculoskeletal care with inpatient rehab consults within a multidisciplinary team.

The position emphasizes comprehensive evaluation, electrodiagnostic testing, and hands-on rehabilitation, with a supportive community setting and opportunities to contribute to program quality and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completed PM&R residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R.
• Active Vermont medical license (or eligible for state licensure).
• Active DEA registration and Vermont CSR.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and non-surgical management for musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including EMG/NCS and injections.
• Conduct inpatient rehab consultations and oversee functional recovery plans.
• Direct interdisciplinary team care conferences with therapists and nursing staff.
• Manage medical regimens, prescribe DME, and coordinate post-acute care transitions.
• Maintain timely clinical documentation in the EHR system.
• Support quality improvement, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
