Job description

Opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Physiatrist to join our interdisciplinary team. This role focuses on enhancing and restoring functional ability and quality of life for residents with physical impairments or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive rehabilitation care to residents in SNF and ARF settings.
  • Attend and manage patients in the general rehabilitation clinic.
  • Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and social workers to develop individualized care plans.
  • Design and oversee rehabilitation programs to improve mobility and function.
  • Perform and supervise procedures related to physical medicine and rehabilitation.
  • Educate residents and families on treatment plans and rehabilitation goals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and policy development.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid California Medical License (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
  • Valid DEA registration.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Eligibility for Medicare/Medi-Cal billing and NPI registration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with geriatric or aging populations.
  • Additional training in geriatrics, palliative care, brain injury, spinal cord injury, or pain medicine is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and team collaboration skills.
