Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine in California seeks a 1099 Physiatrist to diagnose and manage pain and rehabilitation for work-related injuries. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, chiropractors, and other clinicians under the referral of an occupational medicine physician, focusing on rapid recovery and timely return to work.

Applicants must have MD or DO, unrestricted CA license, DEA, BLS, and malpractice insurance.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O.
• Active DEA registration required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Board certified or eligible in the state of employment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Background in occupational medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or outpatient setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of physical disabilities and conditions from work-related injuries; assess history, exam, and imaging.
• Develop individualized treatment plans including physical therapy, medications, injections, and non-surgical interventions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients on conditions, prevention, and rehabilitation processes.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR.

You will work in a team environment with physical therapists, chiro, acupuncture among other clinical staff under the referral of the occupational medicine physician. You'll also collaborate with employers in active case management.

You will work in a team environment with physical therapists, chiro, acupuncture among other clinical staff under the referral of the occupational medicine physician. You'll also collaborate with employers in active case management. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of physical disabilities and conditions, including musculoskeletal issues, chronic pain, and neurological disorders from work-related injuries; assess patients' medical history, physical exams, and x-rays
• Develop individualized treatment plans that may include physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, medications, injections, and non-surgical interventions to improve function and mobility
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists and medical doctors, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients on their conditions and its prevention and the rehabilitation process
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited medical program with a M.D. or D.O. and an unrestricted California medical license.
• Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.
• Board certified or eligible in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.
• Active DEA registration required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current Medical Malpractice Insurance coverage.
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
• Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Background in occupational medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or outpatient setting is preferred.
