Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care under a physician’s referral and a PT plan of care, in accordance with New Mexico regulations and within the PTA scope.

Responsibilities include treating functional mobility, motor function, strength, balance, ambulation, and patient education, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team, pursuing continuing education, and supporting PT service marketing while maintaining clinical documentation and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of nationally-accredited PTA program.
• Work experience: greater than one year preferred, but new graduates welcomed to apply.

This may include, but is not limited to, treatment of functional mobility, motor function, muscular strengthening, sensation, wounds, ambulation, balance, social, and environmental needs. Direct patient care is provided to individuals of all ages, as his or her caseload demands. Physical therapist assistants will assist in coordinating and providing patient and family education and execute effective physical therapy services as appropriate. Therapist assistants will consult and coordinate with interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive treatment. Employee will participate in educational programs, quality improvement, and program development. Non-patient responsibilities are to be completed as assigned.
