Swissport in the United States (Phoenix) seeks a Ramp Supervisor to efficiently direct ramp activities, ensuring safe, high-quality ground handling services for customers.

You will lead staff, coordinate with operations, uphold safety and environmental standards, train team members, and maintain strong relationships with customers and airport authorities; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years Ramp Supervisor experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of Ramp Operations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Leadership ability and customer focus.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct ramp activities to ensure safe, high-quality service.
• Oversee safety, health, and environmental practices at the station.
• Maintain good relations with customers and airport authorities.
• Coordinate staff assignments and daily briefings.
• Provide support to frontline management and operations.
• Coach and train employees to improve operations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Monitor and improve safety and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

To efficiently and profitably manage and direct ramp activities by providing a safe, quality product covering a range of ground handling services to customers.

The expected salary is $65,000 annually. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.

Your activities

• Responsible for Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft and equipment damage.
• Maintain and improve customer and company safety and quality standards
• Maintain good relations with customers and airport authorities
• Manage and control all staff assignments
• Hold daily briefings with all levels of management
• Provide support to front line management
• Coach and train all employees to effectively improve operations
• Ensure workforce adherence to company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
