This is a full-time, onsite PHP Application Developer role based in Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio, with a targeted start date of 24 August 2026. We offer a flexible schedule and relocation assistance, and the pay range is $90,000 to $110,000 per year.
Requirements
- We require a current DoD IAM Level I certification, such as Security+, Cloud+, or CND.
- We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a favorable National Agency Check Investigation (NACI) clearance.
- We need strong proficiency in PHP, including modern frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
- We expect experience working with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL.
- We require a solid understanding of secure coding practices.
- Preferred: journeyman-level .NET experience to support cross-platform or legacy system integration.
- Preferred: familiarity with AFSAC Online, or other DoD/FMS-related systems.
- Preferred: working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and front-end frameworks.
Responsibilities
- We maintain and support AFSAC web applications and mission systems.
- We follow AFSAC SDLC, governance, and configuration management processes.
- We troubleshoot and support production, test, development, and other non-production environments.
- We design, build, enhance, and sustain web applications in both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments.
- We modernize legacy applications through framework upgrades, code refactoring, and user interface improvements to strengthen security, maintainability, and performance.
- We track, prioritize, and resolve helpdesk application and operational support requests.
- We monitor service delivery to meet SLA and KPI expectations.
- We perform application administration for on-premises and cloud environments.
- We create and update technical documentation, configuration items, and operational procedures.
- We support PHP and IIS hosting environments, including deployments, troubleshooting, configuration management, and system upkeep.
- We work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine functional and technical requirements.
- We develop project plans, schedules, and task estimates based on requirements and customer priorities.
- We design, test, document, and deploy software solutions using PHP and related technologies.
- We maintain source code, supporting libraries, and software repositories.
- We produce system documentation, test plans, training materials, data dictionaries, and other SDLC artifacts.
