Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Engineering Technician C in Carlsbad, CA to build, integrate, and test photonic components within larger system assemblies. This on-site role supports precision lab work at our Carlsbad location and involves wiring, calibration, and regular collaboration with management to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in optical components, the ability to work from detailed drawings, and a willingness to obtain a TS/SCI

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience or an associate degree with 4+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, test, and inspect photonic components per detailed work instructions and drawings.
• Integrate COTS optical equipment per architecture block diagrams and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain cleanliness, workspace organization, and ensure regular calibration/maintenance.
• Possess ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance and support lab operations.
