A leading technology company is hiring a Photonics Technical Lead to join the laser development team in Boston. The role involves developing scalable laser solutions for silicon photonics AI communications. You’ll collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to innovate and execute new designs. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, significant experience in photonic devices, and strong communication skills. This position offers competitive base salary ranging from $210,000 to $256,000, plus benefits including retirement savings, life insurance, and generous time off.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with at least 3 years of post-degree relevant experience or equivalent.
• 8+ years in photonic devices, integrated circuits and semiconductor physics.
• Strong understanding of silicon photonics.

Responsibilities

• Engage with cross-functional teams to design high-volume laser products.
• Collaborate with product and architecture teams for new laser concepts.
• Translate product requirements into engineering execution plans.

Education

Ph.D. degree in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, or similar discipline
