Job summary

Thorlabs is seeking a Science Writer II to strengthen our leadership in photonics by creating effective technical presentations, application images, and marketing collateral for customers and engineers.

You will collaborate with engineering and graphics teams, plan website updates for an improved buying experience, and produce content with minimal revisions. 3+ years photonics lab experience and strong English writing/presentation skills are required.

Qualifications

3+ years of photonics hands-on lab experience.
Advanced degree in Physics, Optics, Lasers or related field (or equivalent work exp).
Excellent writing and presentation skills in English.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Project Management: manage presentations and content to support NPI, site updates, and marketing collateral.
Content Strategy: ensure cross-linking and SEO-friendly website content.
Timely Updates: produce technically accurate content with minimal revisions.
Communication: guide graphics and marketing teams to obtain required visuals.
Application Imagery: develop and illustrate lab-use scenarios for products.
Website Enhancements: collaborate on tools to improve buying experience.
Product Road Mapping: provide input on product additions/enhancements.
