Job summary

Monarch Quantum is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead photonic module projects from concept through production. You will coordinate internal teams, suppliers, and management to meet milestones, schedules, and budgets while ensuring seamless transfer to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Typically 5+ years of engineering or project management experience in photonics or optoelectronics.
• Strong understanding of photonic module technologies integrating optical, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Proven experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets and resources effectively.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain considerations for photonic devices.
• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation in project environments.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate photonic module projects from design to production transfer.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules and budgets; ensure milestones.
• Collaborate with optical, mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineers.
• Identify technical risks; work with stakeholders to address challenges.
• Manage supplier relationships and coordinate component procurement.
• Track progress; generate status reports; communicate updates to management.
• Facilitate design reviews and technical discussions.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize project execution and module performance.
