Job summary

TSMC Arizona is hiring a Photomask Process/Equipment Engineer in Phoenix, AZ. You will lead installation of new photomask equipment, design experiments, and use SPC to optimize processes for high yield.

Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers is essential. The role requires a BS in engineering or physics, experience with photomask technologies, and a willingness to work varied shifts in a fast-paced fab environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific field such as Physics, Material Science, Optical Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Technical Skills: Ability to design and execute experiments and interpret complex data; Understanding and application of statistical process control methods; Experience with manufacturing equipment installation, qualification, and sustenance; Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and ability to work on cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams; adaptable to shifting priorities; collaborative team player.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to wear clean-room suit and work across office, clean-room, and data center environments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree preferred; Photonics/optics or image processing degree; Python programming capability; Shift expectations; Location: Phoenix, AZ; Travel: None

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation and release of new photomask process equipment, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Design and execute experiments, interpreting complex data sets to optimize photomask processes and achieve precise control.
• Apply statistical process control methods to establish and sustain a robust photomask process flow.
• Qualify and sustain manufacturing equipment to expand capacity, improve tool uptime and utilization.
• Systematically troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues to maintain high operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with equipment and material suppliers to identify technology gaps and drive improvements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure on-time photomask production and repair for HVM.
• Develop and deliver training programs leveraging BKM and SOPs to certify technicians
