Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a full-time Photojournalist to join a fast-paced news operation. The candidate must have 5+ years as a video journalist/editor and be able to operate live transmission gear, lift equipment up to 35 pounds, and stand for long periods during breaking news.

A Part 107 FAA drone license is required, and the candidate should be willing to join IBEW Local 98; valid driver’s license with a clean record; compliance with EH&S standards; able to work all shifts and fit into tight

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as a video journalist / editor in a fast-paced news environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must adhere to Environmental Health & Safety standards and regulations.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds of equipment.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods during breaking news (up to 8 hours).
• Must be able to operate live transmission equipment including bonded cellular devices like Live U / Dejero.
• Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces and in/out of vehicles.
• Must be able to sit for editing purposes (up to 2 hours).
• Must be willing to work all shifts.
• Part 107 FAA Drone License is required.
• Must be willing to join IBEW Local 98.

• Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours at a time (in breaking news situations, may need to stand for longer periods of time – up to 8 hours)
• Must be able to operate live transmission equipment including bonded cellular devices like Live U / Dejero
• Must be able to maneuver small spaces (in/out of vehicles and to be able to take camera shots in tight spaces)
• Must be able to sit for up to 2 hours at a time (i.e. for editing purposes)
• Must be willing to work all shifts
• Part 107 FAA Drone License is required
