Position Overview
Seeking a talented Photographer/Editor with apparel industry experience to create compelling, brand-right visual content. This role will lead photography and post-production for product, marketing, advertising, e-commerce, and social media initiatives.
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Photographer/Editor will collaborate closely with the Social Media Manager, Ad Specialist, and Content Production Manager to deliver high-quality creative assets across multiple channels. The ideal candidate combines strong technical photography and editing skills with an understanding of apparel styling, garment details, color accuracy, and digital content requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute studio and lifestyle photography for apparel, products, campaigns, e-commerce, advertising, and social media.
- Photograph garments on models, mannequins, laydowns, and other approved formats.
- Edit, retouch, color-correct, crop, and prepare images for print and digital use.
- Maintain accurate garment colors, textures, proportions, and product details throughout post-production.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to interpret creative briefs and maintain brand consistency.
- Partner with the Social Media Manager, Ad Specialist, and Content Production Manager to develop platform-specific visual assets.
- Coordinate shot lists, samples, equipment, sets, lighting, talent, and production schedules.
- Help style apparel and oversee garment preparation during shoots.
- Create multiple image formats and variations for paid advertising, organic social media, e-commerce, and other marketing channels.
- Organize, name, archive, and manage digital assets using established workflows.
- Balance multiple projects while meeting fast-paced production deadlines.
- Maintain photography equipment and ensure the studio remains organized and production-ready.
- Stay current on photography, editing, apparel, e-commerce, advertising, and social media trends.
Qualifications
- Professional photography and photo-editing experience, including hands-on experience in the apparel industry.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating apparel, product, studio, and lifestyle photography.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and related post-production tools.
- Strong understanding of studio lighting, composition, color management, retouching, and file preparation.
- Experience photographing garments on models, mannequins, or as laydowns.
- Working knowledge of apparel styling, garment construction, fabric behavior, and fit presentation.
- Ability to translate creative direction into polished, commercially effective imagery.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistent work under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary creative and marketing team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing assets for e-commerce, paid digital advertising, and social media.
- Familiarity with video capture, basic video editing, or motion content.
- Experience working with children’s apparel, fashion brands, or licensed consumer products.
- Knowledge of digital asset management and high-volume production workflows.
Salary $72,000 - $78,000
