Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Scanner Technician to join our Photo Operations team. You will maintain and improve wafer fabrication processes, troubleshoot ASML scanner equipment, analyze trends, and implement solutions to drive yield and quality.

The role requires a two-year technical degree (or military experience) and/or 5+ years direct Photo semiconductor experience in high-volume manufacturing. Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree, equivalent military experience, and/or 5+ years direct applicable Photo semiconductor experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Detail- and task-oriented with strong customer service, teamwork, and flexibility.
• Ability to follow SOPs and technical documents.
• Problem solving and assessment capability.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex photoscanner equipment issues.
• Attention to detail and clear communication with confidence to escalate unknowns or issues.
• Analyze data using software tools to identify trends and problems, then translate into a working solution.
• Engage with engineering and vendors to ensure production quality from scanner equipment.
• Execute change point management to ensure quality execution and validation.
• Continuously update SOPs for clear, high-quality results.
• Work hours: C Shift – Thu through Sat (6:45am–7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.

Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a skilled Scanner Technician to join our Photo Operations team in the semiconductor industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our wafer fabrication processes, identifying complex problems, Monitoring trends, assessing results to what is expected, and implementing solutions to drive yield enhancement and customer quality product. The ideal candidate has multiple years’ experience with ASML scanner equipment.

Role and Responsibilities

The current base salary range for this role is between $31.00 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
