Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional retouching experience in beauty, cosmetics, fashion or e-commerce.
• Experience working with cosmetics/beauty brands.
• Strong expertise in Adobe Photoshop and professional retouching workflows.
• Retouching beauty products, packaging, cosmetics, and/or still-life imagery.
• Color correction, color matching, and maintaining accurate product color.
• Clean and refine product packaging, labels, edges, surfaces, and imperfections while staying realistic.
• Experience with high-end beauty/e-commerce retouching for polished imagery.
• Attention to detail and high quality finish; follow retouching notes and direction.
• Comfortable working from Capture One selects and provided briefs/notes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong file organization and adherence to naming, folder, export conventions.
• Reliable communication and ability to incorporate feedback to final delivery.

Job description

• 3+ years of professional retouching experience, preferably in beauty, cosmetics, fashion, or e-commerce
• Experience working with cosmetics/beauty brands
• Strong expertise in Adobe Photoshop and professional retouching workflows
• Demonstrated experience retouching beauty products, packaging, cosmetics, and/or still-life imagery
• Strong understanding of color correction, color matching, and maintaining accurate product color
• Ability to clean and refine product packaging, labels, edges, surfaces, and imperfections while maintaining a realistic appearance
• Experience with high-end beauty/e-commerce retouching, including creating polished, commercially ready imagery
• Strong attention to detail and a highly discerning eye for quality, consistency, and finish
• Ability to follow detailed retouching notes and creative direction while also applying independent judgment
• Comfortable working from Capture One selects and provided retouching briefs/notes
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight, established deadlines
• Strong file organization and ability to follow established naming, folder, export, and delivery conventions
• Reliable communication and responsiveness throughout the retouching process
• Ability to provide R1s and incorporate feedback efficiently through final delivery
• Portfolio demonstrating a strong range of product retouching work

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with compositing or image manipulation
• Experience working with transparent/translucent products or complex product surfaces
• Familiarity with ColorPop or similar fast-paced beauty brand workflows
• Experience working with creative teams, art directors, photographers, and producers
• Understanding of digital/e-commerce image standards and specifications
• Ability to work within an established retouching tier / estimated-hours system
