We are proud to foster an inclusive, empowering culture where interns are supported and encouraged to contribute meaningfully. Many of our interns transition into permanent roles with the company after their internships.

Responsibilities:
  • Carefully source and select lifestyle images from Shutterstock for use in articles.
  • Edit, crop, and size images for editorial content intended for MSN, uploading them to the YourTango CMS.
  • Periodically design composite/collage images for headers, list item photos, thumbnails, and more using Canva.
  • Write alt text, photo credits, photo descriptions, and image titles for uploaded photos to the CMS.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Skilled in photo editing, with a keen eye for lifestyle photography and speed.
  • Can create multiple (up to 100) quality images per week, adhering to instructions and feedback.
  • Is pursuing or has obtained a degree in photography, graphic design, art, photojournalism, advertising, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and quick communication via email and Slack.
  • Able to meet strict deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic about photography and/or visual editorial content.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar editing apps.
  • Access to a computer with reliable internet.
  • Knowledge of photography and editorial trends.
  • Availability to work a set schedule (20 hours/week) during weekdays and business hours.
What You'll Learn & Gain:

  • Interns also have opportunities to network and collaborate with team members across multiple departments during their time with YourTango.
Eligibility & Compensation:
  • Must reside in the continental U.S. during the internship.
  • This internship provides a monthly learning stipend of $375 to support the intern’s educational experience. The stipend is not an hourly wage or salary and is not tied to the number of hours worked.
  • At the end of each completed month, interns submit a brief invoice confirming their participation during that period. Once received and approved, the stipend is issued via electronic bank transfer or PayPal.
  • This internship is structured as a learning-focused opportunity and follows the guidelines established under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the standards set by the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division.
