MVP360 Sports & Entertainment Management in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Youth Sports Development Director to design and deliver youth sports programs across 30 recreation centers. You will recruit staff for camps, plan leagues and events, and coordinate with city partners to engage families and participants.

Qualifications

• Based in the Phoenix, AZ area.
• 3+ years of experience in youth sports, recreation programming, or community sports operations.
• Educational background in sports management, recreation, or a related field.
• Proficiency with email, social media, related communication and promotion tools, and reporting spreadsheets.
• Extensive sport-specific knowledge or general athletics experience; multi-sport expertise preferred.
• Experience with program planning, event operations, and sports marketing execution.
• Experience working with recreation center directors.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Has a phone and laptop for contractor work.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends during the school year.
• Confident in leading coaches, sports activities and managing projects with creativity and problem-solving skills.
• Hardworking, dedicated, and thrives in a fast-paced indoor/outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and establish engaging recreational sports events and programs at designated locations through the City of Phoenix, AZ.
• Recruit and identify enthusiastic staff for camps, clinics, and leagues; assist with interviews and vetting process.
• Plan and staff a variety of sports leagues, fitness classes, and recreational events based on community needs.
• Lead group activities, explain mission and vision, demonstrate techniques, and coach participants of varying ages and skill levels.
• Maintain safety by conducting site visits, enforcing safety procedures, and managing equipment inventory.
