PetVet Care Centers is seeking a compassionate Emergency Veterinarian for the Phoenix PVREC location. The role involves day and overnight shifts, collaborating with a skilled team to deliver high-quality care.

You will engage with clients, perform exams, diagnostics, and surgery, and contribute to maintaining the hospital's standards of excellence. The PVREC team values collaboration, ongoing learning, and a culture of care.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree and license to practice in the state.
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ years of emergency veterinary practice experience.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with teamwork.
• Excellent communication with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups.
• Communicate with clients and educate on care.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and surgical interventions.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Handle pharmacy duties including prescribing meds and controlled substances.
• Promote teamwork and staff efficiency.
• Coordinate with Hospital Manager on weekly priorities.
• Evaluate protocols for daily hospital operations.
• Monitor cases and participate in rounds when possible.
• Contribute to practice management updates and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
