Baptist Health is seeking a phlebotomist in Arkansas to obtain specimens through venous, capillary, or finger sticks and to verify patient identification before collection. The role involves ensuring sample integrity, explaining the sampling process, and following aseptic procedures to support the laboratory team.

You will process reference laboratory specimens, complete orders accurately, handle billing for patient accounts, and assist with manual laboratory reports and other department duties

Formación

• Phlebotomy experience or completion of an accredited Phlebotomy program preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 90 days.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain specimens from patients via venous, capillary or finger sticks.
• Verify patient identification and explain sampling process to the patient.
• Maintain specimen integrity using aseptic techniques and follow department procedures.
• Process reference laboratory specimens and complete orders accurately.
• Bill proper patient accounts and process manual laboratory reports.
• Assist in additional duties within the department as needed.
