Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a Phlebotomist to draw blood specimens from patients of all ages in a busy clinical setting. You will follow venipuncture and capillary collection methods while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities include processing orders, using computer systems, adhering to HIPAA and OSHA, and providing professional customer service. Monday through Friday 8AM–1PM with opportunities to support multiple ARC clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; phlebotomy class preferred.
• Either completion of phlebotomy class or at least one year of phlebotomy experience required.
• Knowledge of laboratory environment and medical terminology.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage competing priorities.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects blood specimens from patients of all ages.
• Process laboratory orders and specimens per protocol.
• Demonstrates telephone etiquette.
• Uses computer information systems.
• Adheres to OSHA, HIPAA, compliance, and Code of Conduct.
• Promotes professional customer service.
• Maintains attendance and works holiday shifts as required.
• May flex to other clinics.
