Job summary

FETTER HEALTH CARE NETWORK INC is seeking a Phlebotomist to identify the best method for retrieving specimens and to prepare specimens for laboratory testing. You will perform venipunctures and finger sticks, ensuring sample integrity and accurate labeling.

In this role you will maintain logs, assist nursing staff, verify requisitions, and monitor glucose levels. A high school diploma and accredited Phlebotomy or CMA program are required, with national certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Completion of accredited Phlebotomy or CMA program required.
• National certification preferred; bilingual candidates desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect, label and prepare blood specimens for patient testing.
• Maintain logs, filing of reports, and chart assembly with lab reports.
• Assist lab or nursing staff under supervision.
• Verify test requisitions against nursing station log and address discrepancies.
• Perform venipuncture and finger sticks to obtain samples.
• Monitor glucose levels and document results for providers.
• Maintain aseptic technique and safety standards in specimen handling.
• Attend department and site meetings as required.
