Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of phlebotomy experience required, or
• Graduation from a phlebotomy program suffices.

Responsibilities

• Consults with healthcare providers and patients regarding phlebotomy service issues.
• Ensures quality and accuracy of work.
• Investigates problems with equipment, patient results, specimens and workflow.
• May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.
• May perform teaching and training of new employees and phlebotomy students.
• Reviews test results to ensure accuracy of reporting and timely correction of errors.
