Qualifications

• Phlebotomy program completion or relevant experience with state certification as required.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory resources and medical terminology (preferred).
• Ability to obtain fingerprinting certification and a valid driver's license, if applicable.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations, including weekends, holidays and on-call shifts.
• Effective communication and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collection, processing, and referral laboratory tasks.
• Ensure accurate patient and specimen identification and documentation.
• Label, aliquot, and deliver specimens, assisting in workflow monitoring and staff training.
• Maintain quality by adhering to procedures, documenting accurately, and participating in quality assurance initiatives.
• Manage departmental supplies cost-effectively and contribute to reducing errors.
• Communicate professionally with patients and staff, providing excellent customer service.
• Support patient privacy and rights in compliance with HIPAA standards.
