Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a Phlebotomist/Central Processing Tech for a full-time position. The role supports the Medical Center with blood collection, specimen handling, and related clerical tasks during day shifts (3am-11:30am or 4:30am-1:30pm) with rotating weekends.

Under supervision, you will collect blood, ensure patient identification, transport specimens, perform data entry, and coordinate with laboratories.

Qualifications

Position Summary & Highlights

We are seeking a Phlebotomist/Central Processing Tech for our Medical Center located in Boise, Idaho. We currently are filling a full-time position.

This position will work during the days Monday-Friday + rotating weekends: 3am-11:30am or 4:30am-1:30pm.

What you will do

Our ideal candidate under the general direction of the supervisor, the phlebotomist collects blood samples, correctly identifies patients, transports specimens and performs all related clerical and computer functions. As a Phlebotomy Tech at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will perform the manual tasks involved with registering, ordering, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages. You will be responsible for utilizing relevant computer programs and perform data entry. You'll serve as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests as well as maintaining quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and the reporting of results received.

Minimum Qualifications
