Job summary

Virtua Health seeks a part-time phlebotomist to collect and process patient specimens in a 2nd shift role at our Voorhees, NJ location. You will adhere to laboratory protocols, perform pre- and post-analytic steps, and ensure accurate sample collection and labeling for reliable test results.

Required is a high school diploma and formal phlebotomy training; ASCP, NHA or AMT certification is preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits for part-time colleagues and a competitive hourly

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience.
• Phlebotomy training completed.
• ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient identification, phlebotomy, specimen labeling.
• Specimen verification, processing, shipment and front loading on instruments for testing.
• Performs pre-analytical processes including registration, and ordering.
• Provides outstanding customer service by demonstrating effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills.
• Performs clerical functions including but not limited to telephone communication, report generation and faxing.
