Job summary

Actalent in Manor, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role based out of Manor, TX. The position requires hands-on blood collection, proper labeling, and specimen handling in a hospital or lab setting.

Candidates should have 2+ years phlebotomy experience, pediatric and geriatric exposure, and prefer phlebotomy certification. The role is fully onsite in Manor, TX with a pay range of $21.82-$22.24 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of phlebotomy experience in a lab or hospital required.
• Pediatric and geriatric experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.
• Centrifuge, split and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures.
• Record maintenance data and update patient information per procedures.
• Maintain decontamination procedures and specimen integrity.

Job Description

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport. Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.
• Qualification :
• 2+ Years of experience working as Phlebotomist in lab & Hospital is Mandatory
• Pediatric & Geriatric exp Mandatory
• Phlebotomy Certification Preferred

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.82 - $22.24/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
