Job summary

Labcorp in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to lead a team of phlebotomists in patient service centers and physician offices. The role supervises daily operations, manages patient flow, productivity, and payroll, and partners with HR on employee relations.

You'll hire and train phlebotomists, ensure exceptional customer service, and coordinate schedules across multiple sites, traveling as needed to support center launches and expansions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 5 years or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 1 year or more as a supervisor or leader of direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician offices.
• Manage patient flow, wait times, and inventory levels.
• Monitor monthly productivity and report deviations as needed.
• Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules and assist with payroll and appraisals.
• Hire and train phlebotomists to fill open positions.
• Communicate with patients, client staff, sales, logistics and management.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clients.
• Travel to additional sites as necessary.

Job Description: Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor in Tulsa, OK.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00AM -5:00PM, additional days and hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of (+25) phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices
• Manage patient flow, wait times, and inventory levels and information logs
• Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
• Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking
• Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals
• Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
• Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
• Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
• Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
• Provide resolution of any patient or client issues
• Perform, collect and prepare specimens when needed
• Travel to additional sites as necessary

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent 5 years or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more as a supervisor or leader of direct reports

Additional Job Standards

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be at least 21 years’ old
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
