Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of (+25) phlebotomists in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices.
• Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
• Monitor monthly productivity and report deviations.
• Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through effective planning.
• Handle payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals.
• Partner with HR on employee relations and disciplinary actions.
• Hire and train phlebotomists for open positions.
• Ensure clear communication with patients, client staff, sales, logistics and management.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clients.
• Assist in setting up new centers and resolving issues.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our team in Montgomery AL

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, additional days and hours may be required

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of (+25) phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices
• Manage patient flow, wait times, and inventory levels and information logs
• Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
• Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking
• Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisals
• Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
• Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
• Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management
• Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
• Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
• Provide resolution of any patient or client issues
• Perform, collect and prepare specimens when needed
• Travel to additional sites as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 3 year or more experience in a supervisory or people leader position
• 3 years or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 year or more experience in a supervisory or people leader position
• 5 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
