Independence Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform phlebotomy using multiple techniques on inpatients and outpatients. You will collect specimens for laboratory testing, verify orders, and ensure accurate data entry in the LIS.

You will identify patients correctly, follow department protocols, and maintain timely specimen transport while collaborating with clinicians and staff to support efficient lab operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher
• Completion of Phlebotomy Training or Medical Assistant Training or six months phlebotomy experience
• Knowledge of coding, basic math, and payer/insurance benefits preferred
• Medical terminology and specimen knowledge and LIS experience preferred

Responsabilités

• Perform phlebotomy using variety of techniques on inpatients and outpatients
• Accurately enter order and collection data into LIS
• Verify patient and specimen identities with two identifiers
• Deliver specimens to laboratory promptly and ensure safe transport
• Interact with healthcare providers, co-workers and patients to support quality lab services
