Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to oversee Patient Service Centers in the Pompton Lakes area. The role includes phlebotomy, specimen processing and coordinating PSC operations under minimal supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of phlebotomy experience; preferred 3+ years and leadership experience as Trainer/Lead Phlebotomist. Schedule is Mon-Fri with some Saturdays and potential overtime.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to join our team in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey (1 Wanaque Avenue).

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm, and alternate Saturdays, 7:00 am – 12:00 pm

Job Responsibilities:

• Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
• Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
• Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
• Promote teamwork, cohesiveness, and effective communication among coworkers
• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years or more of experience as a Phlebotomist
• 1 year or more of experience leading people as Trainer or Lead Phlebotomist

Additional Job Standards:

• In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

This position is responsible for the coordination and oversight of activities of Patient Service Centers within an assigned area. The Phlebotomy Site Coordinator works closely with the PSC staff, management, as well as the laboratory staff and clients to ensure optimal operation of the Patient Service Center.The position also performs phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures at LabCorp Patient Service Centers under minimal supervision.

Pay Range: $17.75 to $27.73/hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
