Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to join our team in Mt. Pleasant, SC. The role oversees Patient Service Centers and performs phlebotomy and specimen processing with minimal supervision.

You will work Monday–Friday 7:00am–4:00pm with rotating weekends, travel to additional sites as needed, and coordinate staff, patient flow and billing activities while ensuring quality service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist is required.
  • 3+ years of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
  • Leadership experience of at least 6 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors.
  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
  • Monitor monthly productivity reports and report deviations as necessary.
  • Address customer service-related issues promptly and respectfully.
  • Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers.
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to join our team in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

We are seeking a Patient Service Center (PSC) Site Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of activities of Patient Service Centers within an assigned area. The PSC Coordinator will work closely with the PSC staff, management, as well as the laboratory staff and clients to ensure optimal operation of the Patient Service Center. The position will also perform phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures at LabCorp Patient Service Centers under minimal supervision.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm with rotating weekends

Job Responsibilities:
  • Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
  • Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
  • Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
  • Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience
  • 6 months of leadership experience
Additional Job Standards
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
  • In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as neededable to pass a standardized color blindness test
Benefits:

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
