Job summary

Labcorp in Chevy Chase, MD is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to join our team. You will perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary methods, manage patient flow, training and supervise staff at multiple sites as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy certification, and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience; 3+ years preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, with willingness to travel to additional sites.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to join our team in Chevy Chase, MD.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 7:45am - 4:15pm; Saturdays as assigned

Job Responsibilities

• Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
• Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
• Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
• Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience
• 6 months of leadership experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
