Job summary

AdventHealth in Parker, Colorado, is seeking a Part Time Phlebotomist for night shift to perform venous and capillary collections, urine drug screens, swabs, and related specimen collection in a hospital setting.

You will ensure accurate labeling, sample handling, and timely processing while collaborating with care teams. A phlebotomy program completion and CPT credentials are preferred, with robust benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program preferred.
• Phlebotomy credentialing (CPT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous, capillary, urine drug screen, swab collection and other specimen collection.
• Ensure quality collection with proper container, volume, priority and identification.
• Process specimens and prepare for testing, including centrifuging and aliquoting.

Job Description

This is a Part Time role Performs venous, capillary, urine drug screen, swab collection, or other specimen collection. Ensures quality collection of specimens including appropriate sample container, sample volume, collection priority, and sample identification. Resolves unusual test orders by following up with care giver, reference lab, pathology, or referring to lab leadership when appropriate. Receives specimens, assesses priority, assures appropriate specimen identification and type, and processes hospital-registered and outreach patients. Centrifuges, aliquots, and distributes samples to appropriate testing areas, including loading samples onto various analyzers.

• Field of Study: Completion of a phlebotomy program
