You will interact directly with patients to explain procedures, maintain a high level of service, and support multiple locations as needed. Flexibility to work M-F daytime shifts and travel is required.

Additional Job Details

Candidate must list home city/commute time on resume; within 20‑25 minutes to site. Rate is based on years of direct phlebotomy experience listed in resume. Overlapping roles do not count twice. Current students must ensure school schedule does not conflict with shift schedule. Must have reliable personal transportation – not rideshare or bus. Must be available whenever scheduled, be on time, and stay for the entire shift. Excessive absenteeism or tardiness is not tolerated and may result in termination.

Description
  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients, both for routine care and key health decisions.
  • The PSR II draws quality blood samples, prepares specimens for lab testing, and follows established practices and procedures.
  • Direct contact with patients is essential; the PSR II must create an atmosphere of trust, explain procedures, and collect specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.
  • The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, focuses on process excellence, and respects confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
  • Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or other locations as business needs dictate.
  • Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and initials, obtain patient signature after venipuncture, and verify correct labeling of tubes.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements
  • Provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Work independently with minimal on‑site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
  • Flexible and available to meet staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime.
  • Commit to all policies and procedures, including dress code, health & safety, and guiding principles.
  • Make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record if applicable.
  • Be prepared to travel and work flexible hours to cover multiple locations with minimal notice.
  • Handle multiple priorities in a high‑volume setting.
  • Demonstrate superior customer focus, communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients, embrace change, and understand our business.

Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.

Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
  • 1–3 years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 2 years in a patient service center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
