Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Draw blood from finger, heel, or vein observing asepsis to obtain samples.
• Obtain correct amount and type of specimen.
• Document requests and released results accurately.
• Inform physicians of released results.
• Process, route, and handle various medical specimens.
• Order, distribute, and stock supplies as needed.
• Train and report on the work performance of other Laboratory Assistants.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
