Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform sample processing, exempt screening and monitoring tests, and collect blood specimens. Venipunctures will be performed where applicable in line with Piedmont policies.

Education requires a high school diploma or GED. No experience is required, but 1 year as a phlebotomist and EKG or healthcare lab experience are preferred; CPT phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required.
• 1 year of phlebotomist experience preferred.
• EKG experience preferred.
• Healthcare or clinical laboratory setting experience preferred.
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
