Baptist Health is seeking a Lab Assistant I-Crusoe Lab Assistant I to join the team in the Second Shift. The role involves phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, and delivery of patient samples to the laboratory, with emphasis on accurate computer entry and timely coordination with the lab staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and phlebotomy training or one year of related hospital/physician office lab experience. Travel between facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program or one year of proven experience in Hospital, Reference, or Physician Office Lab required.

Responsabilités

• Provides phlebotomy expertise and performs specimen collection, receipt in system, processing and delivery for lab tests.
• Demonstrates decision making and problem solving based on phlebotomy knowledge.
• Maintains accurate computer-based receipt of specimens and coordinates with lab personnel.
