Job summary

BayCare Health System is looking for a PRN phlebotomist at Mease Countryside Med Arts Building, Safety Harbor, FL. Responsibilities include collecting and processing specimens, communicating with nursing staff, and coordinating referrals with outside labs.

Required 6 months in phlebotomy or a related field, with a High School diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute experience. Driver's License is required.

Qualifications

• 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field
• Required High School or equivalent
• Or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience
• Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Referring specimens to outside laboratories
• Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Performance of phlebotomy procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned
