About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and student‑focused Phlebotomy Instructor to provide comprehensive instruction in the art and science of phlebotomy. This role is responsible for preparing aspiring phlebotomists with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism required to succeed in the healthcare field.

The ideal candidate will cultivate a positive, structured, and safe learning environment while delivering high‑quality lecture and hands‑on clinical instruction. This position requires strong leadership, organization, and adherence to educational and regulatory standards.

Campus Location: 639 Isbell Rd, Reno, NV 89509
Available Schedules: AM Shift: Monday‑Thursday, 9:00am‑1:00pm

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive instruction in phlebotomy, including lecture and clinical drawing sessions.
  • Deliver curriculum content clearly and effectively to ensure student understanding and competency.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment.
  • Supervise students during clinical practice to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Encourage and support students throughout the program to promote successful completion.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
  • Manage onsite inventory and supplies.
  • Complete required classroom documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain productive attendance and timeliness for all scheduled classes.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

State Qualifications

  • Two years of supervisory/management experience.
  • At least two years of teaching or work experience. Letters from previous employers indicating and describing the work or teaching responsibilities in detail and contact information for verification are required.
  • Evidence of completion of high school or postsecondary education.
  • Current Lab Assistant/Office Lab Nevada State License.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Phlebotomy Certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant occupational work experience in phlebotomy.
  • Strong communication and instructional skills.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • A secure address to receive inventory shipments.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Proficiency with technology, including iPads, mirror casting, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Professional demeanor and effective classroom management skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • EKG knowledge and work experience.
  • Prior teaching or training experience.

  • Copy of current Lab Assistant/Office Lab NV State License.
  • Transcripts of highest level of education.
  • Current resume (with month/year of start and end of each job).
  • Letters from previous employers where you performed phlebotomy. (Required if hired)

Job Type: Part‑time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
