Job summary

Ohio School of Phlebotomy, Inc is seeking an experienced phlebotomist to join our faculty as a Phlebotomy Instructor. You will prepare lectures, lead hands-on labs, and assess student progress in a fast-growing educational setting.

This role requires at least 3 years in the field, US work authorization, and the ability to adapt teaching to diverse learners; classes run weekday and weekend sessions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • Previous teaching experience is not required.
  • Ability to adapt teaching style to different learners.
  • Comfortable presenting material and managing class time.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lecture on specified content utilizing the school’s textbook.
  • Administer academic and skills assessments according to the syllabus.
  • Lead hands-on skills labs, including skill demonstration and student feedback.
  • Maintain accurate student records and paperwork including attendance, notes on student progress and conduct in class, and recording and reporting of grades.
  • Complete tasks required by the beginning of a class session including handling of student payments and accepting of student documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What you will do as a Phlebotomy Instructor on our Faculty

  • Prepare and lecture on specified content utilizing the school’s textbook.
  • Administer academic and skills assessments according to the syllabus.
  • Lead hands-on skills labs, including skill demonstration and student feedback.
  • Maintain accurate student records and paperwork including attendance, notes on student progress and conduct in class, and recording and reporting of grades.
  • Complete tasks required by the beginning of a class session including handling of student payments and accepting of student documentation.
  • Practice within the rules and regulations of the school and the state in which the school is located with regard to policy.
  • Follow the curriculum, as set by the Ohio School of Phlebotomy and approved by the state in which the school is located.

  • We offer Phlebotomy classes during both weekdays and weekends during the morning, afternoon, and evening. You possess these basic requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous teaching experience is not required
