Job summary

Actalent in Jackson, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position. You will perform blood draws, label and centrifuge specimens, and update patient information, while handling specimens and temperatures for transport.

On-site role focusing on pediatrics and geriatrics in a hospital/clinic/lab setting. A 1+ year background with pediatric/geriatric patients is mandatory; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience working with Pediatrics & geriatrics in Hospital / Clinic / Lab is Mandatory
• Phlebotomy certification is Preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge them as necessary.
• Update patient information accurately.
• Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results
