Job summary

Coastal Womens Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood and other specimens in our on-site lab. A calm, confident approach helps nervous patients feel at ease while maintaining accuracy and timely results.

You will work closely with Lab Technicians and clinical teams to ensure testing accuracy and fast result movements, while keeping the workspace clean and organized. Monday to Friday, no nights or weekends, at our Scarborough office.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or eligibility required.
• Experience drawing blood in a clinical setting preferred.
• A calm, gentle and reassuring manner with patients.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and other specimen collections.
• Verify patient identity and lab orders before each draw.
• Label, process and prepare specimens for testing or send-out.

About the role

As a Phlebotomist at Coastal, you’ll collect blood and other specimens from our patients in our on-site lab. A gentle, confident approach helps patients feel at ease, especially those who are nervous about needles.
