The UW Medicine - Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology in Seattle, WA has a fantastic opportunity for a Phlebotomist with the Specimen Processing Team at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) – Northwest.

Work Schedule

What You’ll Contribute
  • Prepare patient and collection equipment.
  • Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages.
  • Instruct patients on proper collection of urine specimens.
  • Perform laboratory testing procedures.
  • Interact with patients and their families, as well as departmental and hospital staff.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of students and new employees
  • Perform related duties as required.
What You’ll Need
  • High school graduation AND completion of a phlebotomy course.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
  • Legal Requirement: Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy Certification (MA-P) with the Washington State Department of Health OR obtain the MA-P within 60 days of start date.
