Job summary

Sagis Diagnostics is a physician-led pathology group in Houston, TX. We seek an experienced Phlebotomist to collect, label, and ship specimens while maintaining HIPAA and OSHA standards.

This role requires a minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience, a valid driver license, and strong data entry and customer service skills. Work hours are day shift in Cypress, TX with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High-school or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of Phlebotomy experience required.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills.
• Clean driving record and valid driver license required.
• Reliable mode of transportation required.
• Proficient in data entry required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the collection, processing, handling, and shipping of blood specimens.
• Follow policies and procedures to correctly identify the patient.
• Properly label specimens and complete the requisition form via paper or online portal.
• Follow policies and procedures to properly pack and ship specimens.
• Demonstrate customer service & compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff.
• Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse patient population base.
• Follow universal precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens.
• Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Inform Supervisor of daily tasks, unusual problems, or deviations from established procedures.
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures of Sagis while working at the physician’s office.
• Pick-up, package, and ship specimens when needed.
