Job summary

Labcorp in Toms River, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to oversee Patient Service Centers and perform phlebotomy with minimal supervision. You will supervise PSC staff and coordinate specimen collection and processing across sites.

The role requires phlebotomy experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team. Travel to additional sites may be required, with schedule Monday–Friday and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist.
  • 1 year or more of experience as a people leader.
  • Phlebotomy certification or training from an accredited agency if no work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and report performance, compliance or staffing issues to supervisors.
  • Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
  • Monitor monthly productivity reports and report deviations.
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens and other analyses.
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Site Coordinator to join our team at Oak Avenue in Toms River, NJ.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm, Alternating Saturdays 6:15am-11:00am

Job Responsibilities
  • Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
  • Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
  • Address any customer service related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
  • Promote team work, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 1 year or more of experience as a phlebotomist
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 years or more of experience as a people leader
Additional Job Standards
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
  • In depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities and techniques
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

This position will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of activities of Patient Service Centers within an assigned area. The Phlebotomy Site Coordinator will work closely with the PSC staff, management, as well as the laboratory staff and clients to ensure optimal operation of the Patient Service Center. The position will also perform phlebotomy and specimen processing procedures at LabCorp Patient Service Centers under minimal supervision.

Pay Range: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomist’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

  • Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
  • Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
