Job summary

Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, NH is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Laboratory team. You will perform venipuncture, greet patients with PPID accuracy, and maintain sterile, organized phlebotomy stations while collaborating with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of phlebotomy certification program or Medical Assistant course.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.
• 3 months’ phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain phlebotomy stations and ensure supplies and sanitation.
• Greet patients and verify PPID to ensure correct patient.
• Perform venipuncture with proper technique; seek help after 2 missed attempts.
• Dispose of needles in designated containers; never recap.
• Utilize downtime for office tasks, prepare charges, and scan results into LIS.
• Ask for assistance from appropriate personnel when patient presents difficulties.
