Job summary

Labcorp in Sebring, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Patient Service Center. You will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and be the face of Labcorp for patients across multiple sites.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certification or training, and strong communication skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00am–3:30pm with rotating Saturdays; travel to additional sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency or completed training program
• Pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other duties as assigned

Work Schedule

Monday -Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm with rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
