Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team. The role involves specimen collection across inpatient, outpatient, and outreach locations, with a focus on accuracy, patient comfort, and professional interaction with clinicians and staff.

The PRN schedule is as needed with varied shifts and rotating weekends. Experience in phlebotomy and strict adherence to Standard Precautions are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Valid Pennsylvania motor vehicle license.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with all laboratory staff regarding collection, receipt, and processing of specimens in inpatient, outpatient, and outreach locations.
• Courteous and professional interaction with patients, physicians, nurses, and hospital staff following CARING values.
• Responsible for proper collection of specimens in line with Laboratory procedures, safety, and patient comfort.
• Follows hospital Standard Precautions (PPE, gloves, hand hygiene).
• Identify patients using two identifiers and label specimens accurately.
• Select appropriate collection supplies for venipuncture, arterial puncture, and capillary puncture per Laboratory's procedures.
